Fibre Pigtails are terminated with fibre optic connectors at only one side of the cable, while leaving the other side to be terminated via fusion or mechanical splicing. High quality pigtails combined with correct fusion splicing practices offer the best performance possible for fibre optic cable terminations. They are utilized with fibre optic management equipment like fibre terminal boxes or splice trays. The connection types that are available are ST, SC and LC in Multi-Mode or Single-Mode.
